Why can’t I see myself in the online monitor? You will not see yourself in your Online Monitor. However you can change your status and this will be displayed to other users who have you in their Online Monitor. I forgot to add a contact to my address book, how can I call them again? Enter their email address into the [Enter Email, press Go!] box and click on Go!. Alternatively go and search for them by name, company or email address in Search under Find Tab. Please note a user will only be found if they have selected to be visible in the directory. Why can’t I see others in the online monitor?
a. You may be behind a firewall that is restricting access but if this is the case a warning should be displayed. Please check Help, Router Configurations. b. Alternatively your Online Monitor could be empty. Go to the Find tab and click on Personal Address Book. Please check if you have users listed with a file icon. These users should be visible in your Online Monitor. If the file icon has an exclamation mark next to it this means that the contact is displayed in your Address Book but not in your Online Monitor. To have a contact in your Online Monitor, double-click on a name and you will see a Contact Details pop-up window. Select Yes to "Show contact in online monitor" option and press Save. c. If your contact list is empty search for the user you want to add to your monitor in Find, Search. Why can’t other users see me in their online monitor?
a. They need to add you to their monitor. They can do this by clicking on your name if they have you in their call log and selecting "Show contact in Online Monitor" and pressing Save, or by finding you in Find, Search, viewing your profile and doing the same. b. If they still can't see you check Router Configurations under FAQ's. I cannot hear other people during a PC to PC call. Please check first if your volume settings are correct. Subsequently, go to your computer Sounds and Audio devices settings under Control Panel in Windows to see if your volume settings are correct. Sometimes it could be that your speaker jack is not plugged in properly. Other people cannot hear me in a PC to PC call. Check on the microphone settings under Volume Properties of your computer to see if it is on mute. If you are using an external microphone or microphone headset, do check if the jacks are properly plugged in. How do I stop echoes? This may be due to feedback coming back through your speakers. Try using a headset or reducing the volume on your speakers. If both parties on a call are using speakers and in built microphones you will probably experience an echo. Headsets will remove this.
