 Here are a few simple steps to help you to get talking quickly with ExpatMessenger, the all-new communication platform for expatriates worldwide:Logging in for the first time If you are logging into ExpatMessenger for the first time you will be asked to supply your username and password. These will have been emailed to you after you completed the online registration form and are presented on the webpage right after sign up. Please take care that these details are entered exactly as shown, in particular that any letters are entered in the correct case. If you haven't already downloaded the software, please go to our Downloads page and follow the download and installation instructions. Create YOUR personal ExpatMessenger – just as you want it to be! 1. Password Change your password to one you can easily remember (go to Profiles, Personal Profile. Change Password). In your Personal Profile you can edit your personal contact details as well. 2. FollowMe! This is our unique service which re-directs PC calls to mobile or fixed phones. You don't have to be always near the computer to be reached and connected. All you have to do is to enter all your phone numbers correctly in your personal profile (go to Profile, Personal Profile). The correct form is +491534746533. 3. Your picture Remember to add your picture to your voice! Its easy to personalise your communications - let people see what you talk like. (Go to Profiles, Photo Upload, use our Image Processor to help you) If you prefer to have a “fun” image, you can also browse our Image Library to choose between a variety of saved images and animated graphics. 4. FastTalk! Get your friends and contacts online fast! Import your address books with FastTalk (go to Tools, FastTalk) and invite your friends to join ExpatMessenger (go to Tools, FastTalk). 5. Me! World Have fun in Me! Choose your area of interest, announcement type and the regions you want to announce to, and click on Create an Announcement. You can also search for announcements here, or better still have them delivered directly to your desktop by choosing your own personal preferences (go to Profiles, Preferences and Regions, select for which countries you are interested receiving announcements that are created in Me! by other users.) Now you can start to use ExpatMessenger Make trial calls anywhere using your free call minutes and get your friends and contacts online so that you can talk to them at no cost! Remember, all Internet calls are FREE with ExpatMessenger Someone isn't on line and need to leave a message? Just send them voice messages, or use FollowMe! to find them. |
